Legal Assistant
About the role
Our client, a business law firm with offices across Canada, is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant / Office Coordinator to join their Vancouver team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day—supporting lawyers with legal administration while also helping keep the office running smoothly. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, initiative, and a positive, professional attitude.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and format legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Track time entries, manage unbilled time and disbursements, and help with client invoicing and account follow-up.
- Support lawyers in staying organized and focused on client needs.
- Take the lead on office coordination—working with vendors, ordering supplies, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
- Be a friendly and reliable point of contact for client inquiries and requests.
- Assist with sending, receiving, and drafting documents (experience with DocuSign is a plus).
- Plan office lunches, events, and team-building activities that make the workplace enjoyable and engaging.
- Jump in to support the team with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Legal Administrative Assistant diploma or a university degree in a related field.
- Up to 5 years of experience in an administrative or legal support role.
- Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
- Comfortable working with technology and learning new software; experience with PC Law is an asset.
- A team player who enjoys helping others and contributing to a positive office environment.
