How You’ll Make an Impact

Reporting to the Supervisor, Recruitment, you’ll be responsible for seeing recruitment activities through from beginning to end and work with the hiring manager to successfully attract quality applicants by:
- Creating engaging job ads that are tailored to the top talent your searching for
- Posting ads to relevant/strategic job sites
- Sourcing resumes through various channels
- Constructing purposeful interview guides
- Participate in interviews directly with project and hiring managers
- Leverage social media as a key strategic recruitment tool
- Act as a consultant to hiring managers on labour market trends and best practices
- Participate and lead strategic recruitment initiatives

Source for top talent using database searching, job postings/searching, social media and industry networking for a variety of niche positions.

Proactively create and maintain a current and up to date candidate pipeline.

Promote AMA, highlighting the many perks of working here, including being able to speak to AMA’s total rewards.

Liaise with the Supervisor, Recruitment to support the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies and candidate marketing programs.

Staying current on new and innovative recruitment methods and technology.

Lead recruitment initiatives from research to implementation.

Review interview guides to ensure the questions fit with AMA’s culture.

Be a specialist and reference point for our Applicant Tracking System.

Help create and build recruitment tools for AMA Hiring Managers, ensuring consistency in the recruitment process.

Attend third-party career fairs and events to share the AMA employ.
What You Bring to the Table
- You have a post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate in HR or Business. If your education is in something else, tell us how it will benefit you in this role.
- You have at 2-5 years under your belt managing the full recruitment cycle.
- If you have at least 3 years of experience in recruiting hard to fill technical roles that would be a bonus.
- You’re very familiar with Workday Recruiting or a comparable Applicant Tracking System.
- A high degree of personal computing skills across a variety of software applications and other digital tools which support talent acquisition activities.
- You are a visionary and strategic thinker.
- You have or are working towards an RPR designation.

About AMA - Alberta Motor Association
AMA is a multi-service organization representing 1 million Albertans. While most often known for our roadside assistance program, we also offer travel, registries and insurance services, Alberta’s largest driver education school, a member rewards program and member events in our communities.
