Salary Range
Pay Band 11 (Minimum- $92,139, Control Point- $122,852, Maximum- $135,137). Placement within a salary band is typically up to Control Point based on skills, experience and internal equity. May place over Control Point in limited circumstances.
The Opportunity
Douglas College is hiring an additional Manager of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics to fill a vacancy created by a recent retirement. A link to the official posting is below. While we invite experienced institutional research professionals to apply, the successful candidate should ideally demonstrate experience in custom database design and maintenance using SQL, and data visualization and reporting with enterprise BI tools, including Tableau and/or Power BI.

WHAT IT TAKES
-Ensure the production of annual or recurring datasets such as key performance indicators and quick facts based upon data derived from Banner, Ministry, and other internal or external data sets. -Knowledge of relational database design, data warehousing, and proficiency in querying databases in an Oracle environment using such tools asSQL,TOAD, MS Access, and Oracle Discoverer;
- Established professional credibility as evidenced by a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Computing, or other relevant field; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related research public sector environment;
- Demonstrated competence in office, spreadsheet, statistical, and research software such as SPSS and NVivo as well as data visualization software such as Tableau or QlikView;
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with limited direct supervision.

Additional Information
This regular full-time position is available as of May 4, 2026. However, the start date is flexible. Regular hours of work are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional travel between Douglas College locations as required. Douglas College is committed to supporting a healthy work/life balance for employees. A hybrid work from home arrangement is available.
