Job Summary

If you’re interested in spending your summer hanging out in the mountains, enjoying beautiful views and chatting with like-minded individuals, and visitors from around the world, this might be the right fit for you! As a Mountain Coaster Team Lead, you'll be proficient in operating the Mountain Coaster and able to lead a team of Coaster Attendants and Lift Operators. There are full-time positions available from June to the end of September.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work directly with the Coaster Attendants and Lift Operators.
  • Coordinate between Lift Operations/Coaster Operations and other departments on the mountain.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in the department.
  • Respect and adherence to RMR’s company policies & protocols, as well as industry, provincial and federal standards.
  • Control the flow of passengers riding the gondola & coaster.
  • General safe operation of the gondola and mountain coaster.
  • Set up and take down equipment such as poles, ropes, tents and signs.
  • Transport carts from the gondola to the coaster and back. (This task requires repetitive heavy lifting and requires staff to join in a daily stretching routine planned out by professional physiotherapists.)

Required Qualifications and Abilities

  • Must have previous experience in this role or have worked as a Coaster Attendant previously.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Provide SIN # - can be physical card or documentation provided by Canadian Government
  • Must have a passion for the outdoors.
  • Must be able to do physical labor and lift up to 50lbs repetitively.
  • May be required to climb a ladder
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently.
  • Mature, enthusiastic, and guest service oriented.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts (we operate on weekends and holidays.)
  • Multilingual and first aid skills an asset, although not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate clearly over a radio.
  • This position is an outdoor position that has a lot of physical labor.
  • Must be able to lead a large team of people of all ages and backgrounds.
