Role Overview

GS1 Canada is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Healthcare, Manager to play a key role in advancing the adoption and implementation of GS1 standards across Canada’s healthcare sector – with a focus on manufacturers in the healthcare community. You will be part of an energetic and supportive team that is aligned to GS1 Canada’s mission of driving the use and adoption of global standards that transform the way we work and live.

This position requires an individual with exceptional presentation and communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders in the healthcare community. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who combines business acumen with the interpersonal confidence needed to engage effectively with healthcare organizations.

The Healthcare Manager will support the sector by driving initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency, transparency, and patient safety through the use of globally standardized product data.

Success in this role will be demonstrated through the ability to:

  • Communicate GS1 Canada’s mission, vision, and value proposition to manufacturers in the healthcare sector

  • Strengthen manufacturer stakeholder relationships and sector engagement

  • Translate analytics and insights into actionable strategies

  • Achieve adoption, implementation, and cost recovery objectives

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare manufacturers
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to key accounts, identifying opportunities to enhance value through GS1 Canada solutions.
  • Collaborate across internal GS1 CA departments to ensure seamless execution of initiatives and consistent stakeholder experiences.
  • Represent GS1 Canada in sector meetings, forums, and committees to foster collaboration and thought leadership.

Strategic Execution & Analytics

  • Leverage CRM, BI dashboards, and account planning tools to monitor engagement, identify trends, and inform strategies.
  • Analyze data to assess account health, service utilization, and adoption progress; develop actionable insights for management.
  • Support the development and execution of initiatives aligned with GS1 Canada’s healthcare strategy and cost recovery goals.
  • Measure and report progress against KPIs, providing regular performance updates and recommendations.

Project & Program Delivery

  • Support special projects, pilots, and initiatives under the guidance of supervisor.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Standards, and IT teams to deliver results.
  • Ensure resolution of subscriber needs through effective coordination with internal teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance tools, processes, and communications.

Operational Excellence

  • Strong internal cross functional collaboration to leverage internal expertise to drive customer value

  • Applies a structured, data-driven approach to planning, execution, and performance measurement.

  • Leverages analytics to monitor progress, identify efficiencies, and optimize engagement strategies.

  • Ensures processes and initiatives align with organizational priorities, quality standards, and sector objectives.

  • Champions continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness and stakeholder value.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and attention to detail in managing resources, timelines, and deliverables. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • University degree or college diploma in Business, Commerce, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in account management, relationship management, or stakeholder engagement, preferably in healthcare or supply chain.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and public speaking skills—able to interpret data, identify and communicate insights, and drive evidence-based decisions.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strategic relationships at multiple levels,
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and BI dashboards for reporting and performance tracking.
  • Understanding of healthcare operations, standards, and technologies (EDI, ERP, clinical systems) an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills ; bilingualism (English/French) an asset.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
