Job Description
Role: We have an immediate opening for a Commercial Install Sales Representative in the Delta Branch. Reporting to the General Manager, the Commercial Install Sales Representative is responsible for the account management and prospecting commercial customers for the branch. This is a full time, permanent position with opportunities for continued growth and a high degree of job task variety.

Responsible for account management and relationship development of commercial customers, primarily consisting of general contractors and architects Prospecting and cold calling, maintaining consistent customer contact and communication along with aggressive follow up to achieve targeted growth Attending appropriate industry and customer events, entertaining top and prospective customers as appropriate Sourcing and Communicating new business opportunities and market intelligence to the Branch Manager and Director of Sales & Business Development Fully understanding CDS’ available products, making recommendations and explaining product application to customer and end users Following up and qualifying all leads generated from Merx, coolent and similar site and passing opportunities to the estimating team for quotes and estimates Driving gross margin, win ratios and customer satisfaction metrics within the division Review plans, specifications, contract documents and job site conditions to formulate quotations for customers Take verbal requests from customers to create thoughtful, comprehensive quotes Negotiating with customers on scope additions, issue resolutions, etc., as required Close and book incoming business Develop submittals and shop drawings for review and approval Work closely with branch personnel to accurately configure products and assist with scheduling of equipment delivery and installation Help manage Projects with Customer and Branch Installation Team to quote and process project Change Orders and Scope of Work updates Work with our credit department to secure terms and ensure timely payment after job completion Stay involved with customer satisfaction issues after the sale and installation Timely and accurate weekly reports and participation in weekly conference calls Pre-sell our products to architects through planning stage documents Get our products specified by owners and architects in the architectural drawings and specifications Develop and Maintain relationships with Architects providing specification assistance, new product presentations and AIA Credited Presentations Become AAADM certified and maintain full knowledge of current ANSI standards Attending appropriate industry and customer events, entertaining top and prospective customers as appropriate Proactively supporting the CDS safety program and initiatives, complying with all safety policies and procedures and ensuring utilization of safe work practices while on site and in the office Perform other assignments in support of the sales operations as requested by Regional Manager

Excellent account management, presentation, verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization Skilled in negotiation and in consultative sales with 30 - 180 days sales cycles High energy, ability to lean quickly and listening attentively Self-starter, disciplined worker, highly organized Ability to manage conflict and embrace change
Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Business/Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or Construction Management 3-5 years sales experience in related field (hardware, storefront, security systems, building supply, elevator, HVAC) with a proven sales record Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications Proven sales record, self-starter, disciplined worker, organized Computer literate, knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required AAADM Certification or willingness to obtain this certification Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle Must be able to pass a background check Successfully pass background check
