About the role

New Paid Camp Staff – Day Camp - All Locations

Employment Type: Full Time, Contract

Monday to Friday Range:  40 hours/week

​$17.60-$21.50/hour (varies by position)

Anticipated Start Date: May or June, 2026

Contract End Date: August 28, 2026

Role Description:

Assistant Director

You will work alongside the Day Camp Director to oversee 9 camp locations. As Assistant Director you work on staff development, administration support, parent relations and facility management. In this position you must have access to reliable vehicle and ability to travel to camps in Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford, Kitchener and Waterloo. 18+.

Day Camp Administrator

You will work alongside Assistant Director to oversee communication and administration for all 9 camp locations. As Day Camp Administrator you will be responsible for registration and payment, weekly camp communication, overseeing camp attendance, and assisting with office management and working with the full-time Administrator as needed. You will work out of Camp Ki-Wa-Y in St. Clements as your main location.

Outdoor Camp - Site Supervisor

You will work alongside the Site Assistant to oversee staff and campers at one of our 9 camp locations. As Site Supervisor, you are responsible for camp programming, staff development and evaluation, parent communication, managing site inclusion support and more. You will get the opportunity to foster young leaders and help them grow in their skills, as well as oversee program goals. You will create amazing connections with campers and staff and make memories to last a lifetime. 18+.

At the Y - Site Supervisor

You will oversee staff and campers at one of our 9 camp locations. As Site Supervisor, you are responsible for camp programming, staff development and evaluation, parent communication, managing site inclusion support and more. You will get the opportunity to foster young leaders and help them grow in their skills, as well as oversee program goals. You will create amazing connections with campers and staff and make memories to last a lifetime. 18+.

Outdoor Camp - Assistant Site Supervisor

You will work alongside the Site Supervisor to oversee campers and camp programs at one of our 9 camp locations. As Site Assistant, you are responsible for camp programming, camper management, program development, and parent communication. You will gain the opportunity to foster connections with campers and develop their love of camp. You will also oversee and create camp programs. 18+.

Outdoor Camp - LIT Instructor

You will work alongside the Site Supervisor to implement and guide the Leader in Training Program. You will work closely with camp counsellors to mentor LITs and prepare them to become counsellors one day. In this position you will instruct based off of a prepared curriculum, mentor and evaluate the LITs on their performance in the program.

Outdoor Camp - Counsellor

You will work alongside the Site Assistant to implement program plans and engage campers in camp activities. In this position you will work with the counsellor team to create amazing memories with campers while leading them in camp activities such as: games, water activities, creative and science activities and more.

At the Y - Counsellor

You will work alongside the Site Assistant to implement program plans and engage campers in camp activities. In this position you will work with the counsellor team to create amazing memories with campers while leading them in camp activities such as: games, water activities, creative and science activities and more.

Outdoor Camp - Lifeguard

You will work alongside the Site Supervisor to ensure all lifeguarding procedures are adhered to. As a Lifeguard you will oversee camp swims, and boating needs as it applies to each camp. You will get to work outside in a gorgeous environment and create great connections with campers and fellow staff. You will ensure that all safety and accident prevention protocols are followed and enforced.

On Call Counsellor

In this position you will join staff teams to cover counsellor absences, sickness etc. This position is on an as needed basis, however attendance at all training sessions is mandatory.

Inclusion Support Counsellor

As an Inclusion Support Counsellor at one of our nine camp locations, you will support campers with disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other concerns, helping them integrate into the camp program while providing guidance to Camp Counsellors on managing challenging situations. Working closely with Site Supervisors, you will act as a resource for staff, coach counsellors through various scenarios, and communicate with parents to ensure campers' needs are met and the camp remains a safe, inclusive environment. This leadership role is intended for second-year counsellors who are passionate about fostering inclusivity and supporting team growth.
