Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in the Insurance domain to support data-driven initiatives across complex, enterprise-scale environments. In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyze, curate, and deliver high-quality data solutions that enable informed decision-making.

You will contribute to data integration, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives, leveraging modern cloud platforms and best practices in data management.

Responsibilities

Analyze, validate, and interpret complex datasets to support business and technology decisions.

Partner with business stakeholders to gather and understand end-to-end data requirements, from ingestion through curation.

Perform hands-on data profiling and write SQL queries to analyze and validate data.

Support master data management, data integration, and data warehousing or data lake initiatives.

Provide inputs and recommendations to data modelers based on business and analytical requirements.

Develop and maintain high-quality data documentation artifacts within project timelines.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Contribute to analytics solutions in large-scale, data-centric environments, including Big Data platforms.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in enterprise environments.

Strong knowledge of the Insurance domain , including underwriting concepts.

Experience working with Global IQX and integrating with third-party platforms such as Salesforce .

3+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or similar).

Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis, validation, and issue resolution.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional data models, and analytics-ready data structures.

Experience delivering data documentation in organizations of similar size and complexity.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on large-scale data programs in regulated industries.

Exposure to Big Data environments supporting advanced analytics use cases.

Prior experience with data governance or data quality initiatives.

Salary and Other Compensation (Canada – Ontario)

Applications will be accepted until May 31 st , 2026.

The annual salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $[95,000] – $[115,000] , depending on experience, skills, and other qualifications.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
