The BC SPCA Veterinary Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian who thrives in surgery and is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This 2-year term offers a focused, high-impact opportunity with consistent surgical exposure. You’ll contribute to a busy and varied caseload including spay/neuter, dentals, and soft tissue procedures, supported by an experienced team of RVTs and veterinary assistants. As part of the BC SPCA, you’ll care for a diverse patient population, including shelter animals, while supporting population health and animal welfare across British Columbia. This role is ideal for veterinarians seeking a meaningful, hands-on position within a collaborative and mission-driven environment. The BC SPCA is the only animal welfare organization in B.C. with the authority to enforce animal cruelty laws under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (PCA Act). We are the largest animal welfare organization of our kind in North America and the largest animal sheltering society in the world. We have 44 locations across B.C. including:

36 branches which care for abused and homeless animals, until they are adopted into new homes (including two facilities with large animal barns)
