Georgian Bay Family Health Team
Location: Collingwood, Ontario
Job Type: Parttime Contract (maternity leave coverage)
Start Date: Spring 2026 for 18 months, with possibility of extension.
Salary: $65,687 – $76,150 per annum depending on experience, pro-rated to FTE.
Hours of work: 20 hours/week, Mon to Fri, between the hours of 8am to 5pm, with flexibility to offer some late or early morning visits to meet patient preference.

The Georgian Bay Family Health Team is seeking a Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse to join our team. Our region offers the very best of summer and winter activities for those with a passion for the outdoors. Our progressive, multi-disciplinary team is a key player within the South Georgian Bay region, proud of the solid relationships and history of collaboration with all our community partners. We work in a professional and collegial environment and use an up-to-date electronic medical records system (EMR). Our Family Health Team provides a host of primary care services including Lung Health, Diabetes, Healthy Aging, Nutrition Counselling, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation and Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN).
Our mental health team provides exceptional primary mental health care service to children, youth, and adult patients of the 52 area physicians who comprise our Family Health Organization. The successful applicant will have experience and versatility in providing MH services to individuals and families across the lifespan.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide accessible counselling to individuals, couples, families and groups using evidence-based practices, and in concert with other members of the primary care team.
- Engage fully and competently in the provision of brief, solution-focused counselling within a stepped care framework.
- Manage a caseload of patients, with frequent competing priorities.
Education and Skills:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in counselling, mental health nursing, occupational therapy, social work, or psychology.
- Current registration and a member in good standing with an Ontario professional college.
- 2+ years of experience in a psychotherapy role preferred.
- Experience in delivering CBT and DBT welcomed.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and networking skills.
- Familiarity with EMR PS Suite is an asset.
