Avidbots is growing fast and we’re looking for a passionate Hardware Systems Test Specialist to join our team. If you’re driven by innovation, excited by cutting-edge technology, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!
What you’ll do:
- Work with the Test Team, Engineering Development, Production, and Customer Support, as required, to design and develop test plans to validate that our products meet performance and reliability expectations.
- Work with all the above departments to develop test plans to verify the functional behaviour of the product and ensure that all elements of the product are “as designed”.
- Troubleshoot problems related to product performance and champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities to ensure effective corrective action.
- Work to document and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain team processes, procedures, and templates
- Develop and maintain customized testing tools and methods
- Maintain testing equipment, test facility, and tools
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical and/or Electronics, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a technical role (preferably product testing or Quality Analysis) related to high technology electromechanical products
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- You work well with diverse groups of people, technical and non-technical, and are able to function independently of direct supervision
- Valid driver's license required
- Awesome attitude, self-driven and self-motivated; you get things done with a passion for continuously raising the quality bar.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with robotics
- Familiarity with Jira and Google Suite
- Previous experience operating or servicing industrial and/or commercial floor cleaning equipment is an asset
- Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS) and Linux-based operating systems
