This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the design and operations of the Ontario Health, Emergency Services program. Our program focuses on emergency care at the provincial level, ensuring effective delivery of Ontario Health programs related to Emergency Services, and optimizing access to, and the quality of care provided by Ontario emergency departments.

The Senior Business Partner (SBP) role for Ontario Health contributes their expert knowledge, experience and insight to the conception, development and implementation of strategy, system planning and performance measurement for Ontario’s emergency services provincial program.

The SBP will work in a dynamic and face-paced environment and will be responsible for fostering, maintaining, and enhancing strong working relationships and strategic business partnerships with senior levels of management at Ontario Health, leading large scale initiatives that advance ED system priorities.

In alignment with the OH mandate and broader OH priorities, you will help the emergency services program achieve greater value from existing and planned health system investments through collaboration, partnership, and integration. In addition, the SBP will develop and ensure transparency, consistency and compliance across partnership policies and protocols, and will provide quality business relationship services within a corporate framework while managing various partnerships, agreements, projects, programs, and initiatives.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing

Provides oversight and support for program operations Deeply understands and can communicate the specific business needs (e.g., data, performance measurement, capacity planning, communications, partner engagement) to propose and drive new initiatives and partnerships that align with those business needs Anticipate business challenges and proactively plans to design and support change Able to understand organizational priorities, along with population need and system capacity, to conceive and enable partnerships with OH business units and others that will deliver sustainable successful solutions Brokers business solutions and strategic partnerships to meet the needs of Ontario Health partners Understand business strategy and provide support to drive key priorities Partner with key partners and leaders to communicate and drive programs across partner groups. Champion and monitor diversity and inclusion within partners and leaders Lead in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for provincial emergency services Transform business needs into workforce planning requirements Analyze trends and issues; effectively use information to provide recommendations on how to continuously improve quality and value Lead business leaders through change management initiatives Lead complex change and transformation programs Operation, review, and support of the annual business plans, developing goals and objectives to ensure business plan outcomes are achieved

Education And Experience

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Completion of a master's degree, major in business administration, health administration, health informatics, information technology, or recognized equivalent 5-7 years of overall work experience developing, implementing, and operating programs aimed at improving clinical care and outcomes and/or health system design, planning, and performance Clinical experience in emergency care setting is strongly preferred Knowledge and successful experience consulting with, supporting and influencing senior and executive leadership Experience in managing large/complex operations and projects, and overseeing day-to-day operational activities Experience in engaging and soliciting support from key partners in the delivery of operational/program activities An understanding of how the overall Ontario Health strategy and direction impacts the various operational areas an asset

Knowledge And Skills

Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making and influence partners to achieve desired outcomes Demonstrated ability to strategically manage conflicting priorities and points of view Models a leadership style that is flexible, responsible, and appropriate to the circumstances, ensuring employees, colleagues and partners are informed, involved, and heard in an environment of mutual respect An energetic demeanor: entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for developing innovative solutions to solve complex organizational challenges Can leverage quantitative and qualitative data to enable informed decision making Attention to detail, bigger picture thinking and proactive identification and resolution to complex issues An ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions; bring issues to resolution Well-developed consultative, coaching and negotiation skills Lead the business conversation, excellent communication, and presentation skills Excellent partner management and effective at dealing with resistance. Able to operate on a tactical and strategic level. Relationship builder with strong coaching, facilitation, and negotiation skill
