Are you an enthusiastic undergraduate student looking to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of digital products, strategy, and market research? In this role, you'll support the Group Benefits Mobile app, Plan Member site, and product portfolio by working on testing and bug tracking, analyzing member journeys, and conducting market and competitor research. You’ll develop your project management skills, contribute to go-to-market and personalization strategies, and prepare insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders – all while helping enhance the experience for our members and sponsors.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage testing plans and shared testing documents for member-facing digital products (e.g., Group Benefits Mobile app, Plan Member site), ensuring timely updates and status reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Track, prioritize, and report on ongoing issues and bugs to ensure efficient resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze health, wellness, and benefits journeys of Manulife plan members in the app and on web to identify pain points, opportunities, and potential new features or enhancements.
  • Plan and collaborate with delivery and product teams to execute new features or improvements, estimating their impact on the customer and sponsor experience.
  • Conduct secondary market research and data analysis to uncover new product opportunities in the group benefits market and to support portfolio growth.
  • Research industry competitors and analyze dashboards to identify key gaps, trends, and opportunities; propose actionable solutions and strategic recommendations.
  • Support go-to-market and campaign management activities for new or enhanced products, including preparing presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the identification and evaluation of partnership opportunities, including conducting research, building comparative analyses, and synthesizing findings
  • Assist in managing partnership and innovation pipelines, including tracking progress, key risks, and performance insights
  • Contribute to the overall digital product and member personalization strategy by synthesizing insights from data, research, and stakeholder feedback to inform the roadmap.
  • Analyze existing communication systems, creatives, and data points to recommend strategies for enhancing digital communications and bringing synergy across channels.
  • Collaborate closely with partners across data, marketing, digital technology, operations, and product to gather insights, align on priorities, and drive improvements.
  • Utilize tools such as JIRA (or similar), Figma, Mural, and Microsoft Office/PowerPoint to support project management, documentation, and storytelling of insights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Health, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Currently pursuing an MBA or Master’s degree (e.g., Business, Health Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field)
  • Strong interest in digital health applications, digital products, and/or the group benefits market.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a dvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including experience structuring analyses and synthesizing insights for executive audiences experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with project management and testing tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly synthesize insights and recommendations for different audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
  • High level of self-motivation, accountability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Salary range is expected to be between

$46,800.00 CAD - $62,400.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work term.
