Hiring Unit:
Morgan Arboretum, Macdonald Campus, McGill University

Position Summary:
Field Operations Lead

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a resource person, coordinate projects and resolve issues arising during work shift.
  • Ensure that instructions and protocols are followed, including safety measures and safety equipment. Supports and guides field operations team to maintain an organized and efficient workflow.
  • Participates in the management of invasive plants.
  • Carries out and plans educational programs (i.e. guided tours).
  • Assist in the service to members, visitors, and academic clientele.
  • Patrols and monitors the trails at the Morgan Arboretum.
  • Performs landscaping, trail maintenance and ecological restoration which may require use of specialized equipment or vehicles.

  • Communication skills
  • Bilingualism (English/French)
  • Autonomous and resourcefulness
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma

Additional Information:

  • Start date: May 1st, 2026
  • Work schedule includes weekends and early mornings

Location: This position is located in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Qc.
