About the role
We are excited to announce a new opportunity as a Team Leader focused on providing leadership to the Gibraltar team, holding contractors accountable and ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe, cost effective and systematic manner to all of Orica’s Standards.
Schedule : 7 days of work / 7 days off work (12 hours shifts)
What you will be doing

Continued development of safe working practices to ensure no injury to self or others.

Create a positive Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) culture with employee participation in Orica’s safety programs including Take5, JSERA’s and safe work practices.

Provide feedback on SHE issues.

Ensure all work and maintenance complies with regulatory requirements and Orica policies.

Assist the Site Supervisor setting and achieving the objectives of the SHE improvement plan.
-
Manage the operating and maintenance resources to support the operation of the plant.

Work with the contractors to ensure raw material shipping requirements are met.
-
Work within equipment maintenance strategy that complies with all regulatory and Orica policies.

Provide input for future development and plant requirements.
-
Effectively plan daily raw material requirements and deploy manpower appropriately.

Ensure contract employees are performing their required tasks and hold them accountable.

Work with the Gibraltar Site Supervisor and contract haulers to ensure supplied operations raw material requirements are met.

Ensure maintenance team has the required skills and training to support the business goals.

Lead contractors and Orica work force in a positive and effective way.
Profile description:
What you will bring
- Minimum 2 years of supervision experience
- Grade 12 diploma (asset)
- Solid Computer skills
- Safety Training (preferred)

Compensation
• $44.90 / hour.
