CGI is seeking a .Net Solution Architect to support enterprise-scale solution delivery across client engagements. This role will lead solution architecture for APIs, backend services, and data integrations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture (EA) standards, security policies, and platform reference architectures.

The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with CGI delivery teams, product owners, and client stakeholders to design, document, and govern solutions using C4 modeling, Genera, and modern Microsoft and Azure technologies.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for .NET-based APIs, backend services, and data flows.
• Define and enforce architectural patterns aligned to enterprise EA, integration, security, and platform standards.
• Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (NFRs) including performance, scalability, resiliency, and security.

Architecture Modeling & Documentation

• Produce and maintain C4 architecture diagrams (Context, Container, Component, Code) aligned to enterprise design standards.
• Utilize Genera for architecture modeling, automation, and solution documentation.
• Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and supporting technical artifacts.

Collaboration & Delivery Support

• Partner with CGI engineers, delivery leads, and product owners on solution design and implementation guidance.
• Provide architectural oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle, from design through implementation.
• Support hybrid and nearshore delivery teams with clear, consumable architectural documentation.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves) Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# and SQL Server in enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of modern integration patterns (RESTful APIs, asynchronous and event-driven architectures).
• Proven experience producing high-quality C4 diagrams aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
• Experience using Genera for solution modeling, automation, or documentation.
• Working knowledge of:

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience integrating with legacy platforms (e.g., AS400).
• Familiarity with large-scale enterprise integration ecosystems.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,0000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
