##Base Location: Simcoe****Office
Start Date: May 01, 2026
Hours of Work: 17.5 hours / week
Starting Wage: $29.93/hour, As Per Collective Bargaining Agreement
The IAW Wellness Program is part of a suite of CMHA Ontario programs that bring mental health education, counselling services, and enhanced community support to rural and agricultural communities across Ontario. The branch will provide the program as an affiliate in Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk Counties. This position will deliver mental health promotion workshops, offer prevention information and referrals to community services, some case management, collaborate with partners, and engage in promotional outreach to the IAW community.
In general, the IAW Wellness Outreach Worker will participate in developing community service referral resources that are culturally appropriate for IAWs in Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk counties. They will also distribute resources, host relevant in-person workshops, and advise CMHA Ontario on developing appropriate learning modules for IAWs and farm operators. They will engage in coalition-building and promotional outreach by working closely with partners and existing networks.
Reliable transportation is required. A full job description is available upon request. Hours of work will require some flexibility, but they are typically during weekday and daytime hours, depending on program and client requirements. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. The base location can be either the Haldimand Norfolk or the Brant office. Flexibility of location is anticipated.
A minimum of a BA in a related discipline, such as health promotion, health administration, or health or social sciences, is required, along with a demonstrated familiarity and understanding of Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk mental health and addiction services.
Additional Preferences & Qualifications:

2 years’ full-time work experience in a mental health service environment.

Experience collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds.
-
Experience collaborating with multiple partners and committees and translating knowledge for various audiences.

Strong project management skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple projects with complex demands and short timelines.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. (Fluency in Spanish is an asset).

Current emergency first aid training and/or CPR training.
-
Knowledge of local community programs.

Strong organizational and computer skills.
-
A current police vulnerable sector records check is required.
