Applied Solutions Engineer
Are you a motivated software engineer passionate about exploring emerging technologies and building innovative solutions? We are searching for an Innovation Applied Solutions Engineer who enjoys experimenting with new tools, developing prototypes, and applying modern technologies to solve real business challenges.
As an Innovation Applied Solutions Engineer at Price Industries, you will have the opportunity to design and build experimental solutions that demonstrate the potential of new technologies. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to rapidly prototype ideas, evaluate technical feasibility, and help transform innovative concepts into practical solutions.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and implement prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions using modern technologies such as automation and cloud services.
- Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to understand innovation opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
- Rapidly experiment with new tools, frameworks, and technologies to evaluate their potential business value.
- Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using technologies such as Angular, C#.NET, APIs, and cloud-based services.
- Integrate internal systems and third-party services to create innovative applications and automation solutions.
- Conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations on emerging technologies and tools.
- Document prototypes, solution approaches, and technical findings to support knowledge sharing and future implementation.
- Assist in transitioning successful prototypes into production-ready solutions in collaboration with development teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize performance for experimental applications and automation workflows.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends, particularly in AI, cloud computing, and automation, to bring forward new ideas and innovation opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, demonstrate prototypes, and gather feedback on innovation initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in software development using technologies such as C#.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or similar technologies.
- Experience developing APIs, web services, and backend applications.
- Strong interest in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, automation, and cloud platforms.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure would be considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to rapidly prototype and experiment with new ideas.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and exploring new technologies.
