Job Purpose GSK is looking to hire a Marketing Summer Intern in Oncology to join our oncology team. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 2-3 days per week, and reports to the Oncology Product Manager. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Mississauga, Ontario.

As a Marketing Summer Intern in Oncology, you will support the development and execution of marketing initiatives for both in-line and launch brands, working closely with the head office cross-functional team. You will gain exposure to strategic brand planning, competitive analysis, and project management while contributing to the oncology team’s goal of delivering value to patients, healthcare professionals, and GSK.

  • This is a paid summer student placement running from May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026, intended for students returning to school following the contract. Internal referrals are welcome. ***

Details (Your Responsibilities) This role will provide YOU the opportunity to develop critical skills and directly impact oncology marketing strategies. Responsibilities include:

  • Organize and plan day-to-day touchpoints within the oncology business division.
  • Play a project management role in the brand planning process, including business review, strategy development, and operational plans.
  • Support the Oncology Product Manager in on-going analysis of the competitive environment and the development of relevant action plans.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of sales and training tools to support brand initiatives.
  • Integrate key initiatives around performance and innovation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including head office colleagues, to deliver marketing projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with project tracking, reporting, and post-project evaluation to ensure timely completion and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating group meetings, summarizing outcomes, and ensuring alignment across teams.

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, summarizing, probing, and clarifying.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interest in marketing, healthcare, or oncology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (French & English) is an asset.
  • Previous experience or interest in marketing or project management.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams or matrix organizations.

In compliance with Ontario's provincial pay transparency legislation in Canada, this job posting includes a salary range to support equitable and informed hiring practices. The annual pay rate for new hires in this position ranges from CAD$31,980 to CAD$79,950 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the Canadian market, education level (e.g., Undergrad / Masters / MBA etc.) and based on the experience required for the role.
