WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

Senior Director, Finance & Business Transformation

The Senior Director, Finance & Business Transformation reports to the CFO and is responsible for executing its business transformation initiatives to drive organizational growth and innovation and contain costs across the organization. This role will lead and execute finance transformation initiatives, most notably the ERP upgrade, will improve reporting and data collection, and will ensure alignment between business operations and financial objectives. The Senior Director will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and execute opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance performance, data transparency, and decision-making. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead key finance transformation initiatives (most notably the ERP) to optimize operational efficiencies and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
  • Lead cultural transformation within the Finance team (14 FTEs) by fostering an environment that embraces change, continuous improvement, innovation, and the adoption of new technologies; model and champion best practices that elevate the function’s impact across the organization
  • Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies across the organization.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2 analysts to ensure the successful execution of transformation initiatives and reporting functions
  • Lead communication of Business transformation activities to Senior Leadership and Board Members
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance, IT, CP, Ticketing, and HR, to align finance transformation strategies with organizational goals.
  • Lead projects to improve data and & insights, in collaboration with other teams and their tools, such as Corporate Partnerships and Salesforce, Ticketing & Fund Development for Business Intelligence. Ensure data consistency and integrity across all departments, to support unified reporting and decision-making.
  • Lead the design and development of new reports to enhance profitability and insights, such as profitability of CP sales and ticketing.
  • Perform ad-hoc strategic analysis requests and/or participate in special projects, in collaboration with finance and business leadership and CEO.
  • Partner with external consultants and vendors, as needed, to support business transformation initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with CPA Designation (required).
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive professional experience, , including proven leadership of a Finance function and demonstrated success in business transformation and system implementations
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a strong team-oriented approach; able to influence, collaborate, and adapt communication style to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, quantitative, and business acumen.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and a strong affinity for new technologies and best-practice digital tools.
  • Positive attitude and resilient approach to change.
  • Bilingual (French and English).

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Remote Hybrid office Schedule (2 days in office)
  • Location is Montreal
  • Office hours are monday-friday 9-5pm with flexibility
  • Direct Reports – Permanent as well as Contractual
