What You Will Accomplish With Us As the Senior Director – Strategic Procurement, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic procurement team and provide leadership to stakeholders
- Create and propel a vision and procurement strategies that maximize value (gains and risk management)
- Serve as a strategic partner with suppliers and act as the lead negotiator
- Coordinate the work of category managers and ensure alignment with best practices
- Ensure the execution of category strategies and optimize supplier portfolios
- Collaborate with all business units to propose solutions that effectively support the achievement of their business objectives
- Ensure the application of organizational guidelines with the various stakeholders
- Maintain a strategic relationship with different partners
- Participate in suppliers’ strategic governance committees
- Manage escalation levels in cases of disputes or strategic issues
- Lead and promote continuous improvement by ensuring consistency of practices and team efficiency in collaboration with the optimization team
- Monitor industry trends and innovations to support the team’s evolution toward the highest standards
What Could Accelerate Your Success In This Role We are looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates mobilizing leadership and a strategic vision
- Shows strong interpersonal skills and strong negotiation abilities
- Is proactive and able to bring forward innovative ideas
- Has strong knowledge of procurement within a service organization
- Has 10–15 years of experience in strategic procurement, particularly in IT
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- Has an advanced knowledge of English, as the role requires negotiating and presenting to English-speaking suppliers on a regular basis
- Has an advanced knowledge of French, as the role requires negotiating and presenting to French-speaking suppliers on a regular basis
