About the Role

As a Senior Regulatory Specialist, you will play an essential role within our Regulatory Affairs team, reporting to Manager, Regulatory.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting and analyzing regulatory policies, and rate structures;
  • Modifying and maintaining regulatory and financial models;
  • Preparing and developing new financial models;
  • Reviewing and supporting regulatory filings;
  • Preparing scenarios and sensitivity analysis incorporating macro and microeconomic factors;
  • Leading regulatory submissions; and
  • Preparing workplans and leading project teams for regulatory application process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration or equivalent post-secondary education;
  • Professional Accounting Designation;
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a regulatory environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint; and
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analytic software system (i.e., Power BI).

Preferred Skills

  • Strong financial forecast planning, modeling, and analytical skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; and
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
