Position
The Communications Coordinator supports the organization’s communications efforts through content creation, collateral development, and internal communications. This junior-level role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented communicator with strong writing skills and a passion for storytelling. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a wide range of projects that enhance brand visibility, employee engagement and activating the community.

Key Responsibilities
- Write and design promotional, educational, and internal materials for print and digital platforms.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of branded templates and visual assets.
- Manage and update content on the organization’s intranet (SharePoint).
- Support the production of newsletters and internal communications campaigns.
- Assist with event logistics, including photography, signage, and coordination.
- Organize and archive digital files and marketing collateral.
- Track and report on communications metrics and analytics.
- Contribute to brand storytelling across multiple channels, adapting tone and style as needed.
Accountabilities & Competencies
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for various audiences and formats (e.g., reports, newsletters, collateral).
- Familiarity with the Canadian Press Stylebook and journalistic writing standards.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, Mailchimp, and SharePoint.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A curious mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
- A strong cultural fit with the team’s values and collaborative spirit.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op placements considered).
- Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating versatility and creativity.
