Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the flexibility to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. The requirement for in-office presence is a minimum of 40% of your schedule in a month. Additional requirements are determined by the role functions and operational needs of each business area.
We are seeking an Enterprise Project Manager to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.
The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for leading BC Pension Corporation’s large scale, complex, and high risk business and/or Information Technology projects. These projects are managed using traditional (PMI’s PMBOK) principles and follow disciplined change management practices (e.g., Prosci-ADKAR).
They will manage key aspects of the projects including change management, risk, stakeholder management, status reporting, financial management, etc. The primary objective is to ensure that project changes are effectively managed and that the defined scope is delivered to the required quality standards and within the specified constraints of time and cost.
Operating within the broad parameters established by corporate business plans and Trustee Board committed dates, the Enterprise Project Manager is accountable for the success of assigned projects. This role requires a strong understanding of both business and technical planning, as well as the ability to lead, coordinate and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in project management, change leadership, strategic stakeholder engagement, and the ability to navigate complex business and technical landscapes along with proficiency in Agile/Scrum practices. The role advises senior executives and drives cross-functional collaboration to ensure changes are effectively managed and adopted.
The Enterprise Project Manager must effectively establish and maintain complex working relationships across business area boundaries to ensure that the project(s) plans meet the goals, objectives and mandate of the business areas and that the changes are cooperatively accepted across affected areas.
Qualifications
Must have
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business, Project Management or related field.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
- Five years of experience as a project manager using traditional project management methodologies such as PMI’s PMBOK or equivalent.
- Five years of experience delivering technology initiatives, including the implementation or operation of custom, COTS or SaaS applications.
- Experience working with Agile principles and practices (e.g. SCRUM).
- Experience working with Change Management methodologies (e.g., Prosci-ADKAR).
- Experience leading projects to comply with legislative or mandated rule changes.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Nice to have:
- Agile certification (PMI-ACP certified and/or Certified Scrum Master, etc.).
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci-ADKAR).
