About the role
SCHOOL ORGANIZATION TECHNICIAN
Director: Kathleen O'Reilly
Position will be centralized at the head office to support schools throughout the network.
Employee could be asked to visit schools to provide on-site, in-person support.
Qualifications:
Hold a Diploma of College Studies in Business Administration (Management) or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
Other Requirements:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Google software
- Testing required

Knowledge of Jade Tosca, Access, DASH, GPI, Charlemagne, DOFIN, Mozaik and Fusion would be an asset

Nature of the work:
The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in preparing, in conjunction with the administration, the school or centre timetable and other schedules, such as the exam schedule based on, among other things, rationalization and efficiency criteria as well as adapting and applying the procedures required for the organization of administrative operations: student registration, declaration of student enrolment, exams, preparation of report cards and certification of studies.
Daily Tasks/Dossiers:
- Create school master schedule with Administration and DASH
- Prepares and submits school timetables while accounting for course options, student selections, teaching fields, regulations, room availability, transportation, and constraints.
- Collects/manages data required for student registration.
- Updates student records and manages student absences
- Devises and adapts forms for the above-mentioned purposes
- Ensures forms are returned once completed
- Makes approved corrections to forms and data
- Compiles statistics required for preparing a timetable
- Uses appropriate software to carry out analyses, extractions, tracking failures and specific operations
- Prepares reports aimed at monitoring or complying with prescribed procedures
- Manages student enrolment data and attestations (September 30th)
- Prepares diplomas and certification of studies
- Prepares Interim reports/report cards
- Prepares ministry transmissions for registrations and results
- Prepares Cegep admissions extractions SRAM/CAS
- Handles financing/accounting/budget related matters, generates statements of accounts
- Submit overmax compensation data for teachers
- Provides training to support staff (head office and schools) in performing duties related to the implementation of programs involving technical operations for which he or she is responsible.
- Responds to information requests from school staff, school board staff, or parents
- All other related duties
