Description Are you a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment? Canadian Industries Limited is seeking a Director of National Accounts to manage a Canadian retail partner. This role is focused on deepening an existing high-value relationship and driving long-term growth through strategic planning, retail execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will work directly with our retail partner's merchant team and internal teams to deliver results across sales, merchandising, and operations. This is a high-impact role with national visibility and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the National Account relationship, including joint business planning and strategic growth initiatives
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive volume, share, and profitability
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and contract negotiations
- Oversee retail program execution including planograms, resets, and promotional planning
- Monitor inventory levels, replenishment, and store-level compliance
- Analyze POS data and category performance using tools like Power BI and Excel
- Build and deliver compelling presentations, business reviews, and product line reviews (PLRs)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance
- Coordinate retail staff training and field execution support
- Travel as needed to the National Account locations and internal meetings across Canada
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in national account management, preferably in retail or CPG
- Proven success managing large-scale retail partnerships
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and CRM systems (Salesforce, ClientLink)
- Bilingual in English and French – required
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Experience in category management, assortment planning, and retail merchandising
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Willingness to travel within Canada; must be based near a major airport
