The Wood Automotive Group, one of Alberta's largest automobile retailers for over 40 years, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Automotive Technician to join the team at Okotoks Ford Lincoln!

About the Role:

We are searching for a suitable technician to complete AMVIC inspections on used vehicles and any subsequent repairs thereafter. Also, the technician will be required to perform pre-delivery inspections on new inventory. The ideal candidate will have brand experience as well as confidence diagnosing and repairing off-brand vehicles with relevant employment history. An out of province inspection license and/or CVIP license is a definite asset. The technician may also be required to support our existing technicians by helping with customer vehicles when necessary. The hours will be the same as our other technicians and the candidate will be required to be available to work Saturdays on rotation.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Complete repairs as per estimates completed in a timely fashion
  • Road test vehicle after repairs are complete to ensure repairs are done properly
  • Maintain high quality of workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain tools, equipment and shop
  • Diagnose problems using proper procedures
  • Clarify concerns with service advisor as required
  • Recommend additional repairs as required
  • Complete vehicle inspections (out-of-province and safety inspections)

Requirements:

  • Must be fully licensed
  • A current and clean driver's abstract
  • A valid AB drivers license
