TITRE DU POSTE : Technicien d’atelier

EMPLACEMENT : Val-d’Or, QC

Le technicien d’atelier est responsable d’assurer un soutien compétent et efficace à l’atelier. Il doit être en mesure d’effectuer son travail en toute sécurité, de répondre aux besoins des opérations, d’exécuter et de respecter toutes les procédures de sécurité. Il doit être capable d’effectuer des tests, d’isoler les problèmes, de remplacer l’équipement défectueux et d’accomplir d’autres tâches selon les besoins. Il est également tenu de former les nouveaux employés et d’agir à titre de mentor auprès de nos apprentis.

TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Faire preuve de respect envers les autres, être capable de travailler de manière autonome ou en équipe, posséder de solides compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, faire preuve de créativité, savoir planifier et établir des priorités, faire preuve de raisonnement analytique, être ouvert aux nouvelles méthodes, processus et technologies, faire preuve de flexibilité, tolérer l’ambiguïté, initier des améliorations, être orienté vers le client et faire preuve d’intégrité personnelle en tout temps
  • Démontrer une compétence dans la lecture de plans mécaniques et électriques, de dessins d’assemblage hydraulique, de harnais de câblage électrique et de schémas de systèmes de commande
  • Identifier la cause fondamentale des pannes et effectuer les réparations nécessaires
  • Former et encadrer les apprentis, techniciens et collègues sur les procédures et applications techniques
  • Appliquer ses connaissances des machines et des systèmes mécaniques pour diagnostiquer les composants et systèmes défectueux
  • Être capable d’effectuer l’inspection et les rapports sur l’équipement mobile
  • Suivre les instructions écrites, les manuels de réparation et les dessins d’ingénierie
  • Fournir des suggestions au superviseur et à l’équipe pour favoriser les améliorations continues

EXPÉRIENCE ET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diplôme d’études secondaires ou certificat d’études équivalent minimum
  • Certificat Sceau rouge de mécanicien d’équipement lourd ou de véhicules utilitaires lourds
  • Cinq (5) ans d’expérience à titre de compagnon certifié Sceau rouge (préféré)
  • Très bonne aptitude mécanique/électrique combinée à de l’expérience pratique en tests sur de l’équipement minier mobile et en diagnostic de composants
  • Expérience en mécanique et en réparation d’équipement minier; la familiarité avec notre flotte est un atout
  • Solides compétences en communication et capacité démontrée à établir des relations de travail positives avec les collègues
  • Expérience des pratiques et procédures sécuritaires de levage requise
  • Connaissance de l’informatique et maîtrise des logiciels de la suite Microsoft Office

JOB TITLE: Shop Technician

LOCATION: Val d'Or, QC

The Shop Technician is responsible for providing competent and effective support to the shop. The ability to perform work safely, meet the needs of operations, execute and comply with all safety procedures. They must be able to run tests, isolate problems, replace faulty equipment and perform other tasks as necessary. They are also required to help train new employees and act as a mentor to our apprentices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate respect for others, ability to work independently or within a team, must possess strong interaction and communication skill, must be creative, must be able to plan and prioritize, must be able to reason analytically, must be open to new methods, processes and technologies, must be flexible, must be able to tolerate ambiguity, must be an initiator of improvement, must be customer oriented, and must demonstrate personal integrity at all times
  • Demonstrate working competence reading mechanical and electrical blueprints, hydraulic assembly drawings, electrical wiring harness and control system schematics
  • Demonstrate root-cause problem solving to identify and perform equipment repairs
  • Coach and mentor apprentices, technicians and other peers on technical procedures and applications
  • Apply knowledge of machines and machine systems to perform troubleshooting of malfunctioning components and systems
  • Able to perform inspection and reports on out mobile equipment
  • Follow written work instructions, repair manuals, engineering drawings
  • Provide input to Supervisor and team for continuous improvements

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion
  • Red Seal Certificate as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, or Truck and Coach
  • Five (5) years’ experience as skilled Red Seal preferred
  • Very strong mechanical/electrical aptitude combine with hands-on test experience working on mobile mining equipment and component diagnostics
  • Experience as a mechanic and repair of mining equipment. Familiarity with our fleet of equipment preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers
  • Experience in safe rigging practices and procedures required
  • Demonstrate computer literacy and working familiarity with Microsoft Office procedures
