We are seeking a Water Truck Operator!
The Opportunity:
This is a local temporary position working at our client site,**Petro China,inFort McMurray, AB.The shift for this position entails14 consecutive days on followed by 14 days off, working 10 hours per day.**Camp accommodation is provided.
This temporary project is expected to run from April 2026 – September 2026
The Role:
The Water Truck Operator will be responsible for operating water trucks to control dust on construction sites, roadways, and other designated areas.
Accountabilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate water trucks to distribute water on roadways, construction sites, and other specified areas to control dust.
- Ensure even and adequate water coverage to minimize dust and comply with environmental and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections on the water truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and general truck conditions.
- Maintain accurate logs of water usage, truck maintenance, and any incidents or issues encountered during operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others on-site.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, construction teams, and other operators to coordinate dust control efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision and as required by operational demands, including but not limited to operating additional equipment such as excavator, skid steer, and loader from time to time.
Requirements and Competencies:
- Class Three (3) Drivers Licence with Airbrakes required.
- Satisfactory 5-year Drivers Abstract.
- Ability to access all client sites as required.
- Able to work in all weather and working site conditions.
- Physically able to complete the duties of the position.
- Successfully complete pre-employment testing: drug & alcohol, physical abilities and other testing.
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience an asset.
Schedule:
- The schedule is14 consecutive days on followed by 14 days offworking 10-hour days.
Salary:
- Competitive total compensation package
