Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)
TheITV Specialistwill support preparation of test plans, procedures, and reports to validate specified requirements. They will perform tests in-plant and at project sites in accordance with these test plans and procedures and support project ITV work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Performs analysis of system, subsystem, and software requirements to define validation methods and test cases.
- Performs integration and test activities in-house and at project sites to mitigate the key project commissioning risks.
- Prepares test procedures in accordance with ITV test plans.
- Performs commissioning tests in plant and at project sites.
- Prepares test automation scripts.
- Prepares test reports that record the pass/fail status of planned tests and identify problems detected during testing.
- Develops product knowledge through formal and informal training, on-the-job training (OJT), and self-study.
- Investigates test anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation, and interaction with development departments.
- Prepares problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects.
- Identifies test objectives and test cases.
- Keeps current with company test processes and methods.
- Performs traceability analysis.
- Conducts design reviews.
- Participates in resolving integration issues, including problem identification, analysis, and rectification of anomalies.
- Performs the independent review of test results.
Key Requirements:
- B.A. Sc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience in testing of embedded real-time systems or equivalent software or hardware test experience.
- Real-time embedded mission-critical system test experience.
- Knowledge of railway signaling techniques.
- Knowledge of test methods and procedures.
- Competence in technical writing.
- Fluent English language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Company product knowledge (SelTrac).
- Knowledge of systems to be employed.
- Understanding of the roles of other departments as related to Verification and Validation/Test.
Total Compensation Range (Base Salary + Annual Incentive plan) : $76,465 - $86,892
The Company provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 24 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following:
