JOB DESCRIPTION
The Kitchen Department is currently looking for a Kitchen Helper. This position involves delegating tasks and ensuring high quality preparation of all food items in a timely manner. The successful candidate is a dedicated, passionate individual who is knowledgeable; customer service oriented and with al proven demonstrated abilities in a professional kitchen.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
- Functional knowledge of kitchen areas operational skills in preparation and execution of modern cuisine
- Assists with social parties, banquets and special events
- Customer service focused
- Ensures kitchen is clean and sanitary and is in compliance with all provincial requirements
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from Culinary college
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional culinary experience
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Strong basic foundation of culinary skills
- Good organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service skills with a can-do attitude
- Food Handler Certification & WHIMIS
- Basic computer skills
- Candidates must have their own safety shoes.
- This is a casual on call position requiring flexibility and shift work, including days, evenings, and weekends.
