About the role
- Perform all maintenance and repair work in either the plant or grounds.
- Assure all assembly quality specifications are met by continuously monitoring the assembly processes on the equipment assigned.
- Troubleshoot all aspects of the assembly process as required.
- Maintain spare parts and components inventory at appropriate levels. Inform the tool crib attendant of low levels or shortage of parts or components in stock.
- Maintain up to date documentation of equipment. This includes documenting changes and alterations made to all equipment.
- Solve maintenance related problems with minimal interruption to production.
- Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and down time reduction process. This includes following the PMP schedule and completing PMP checklists.
- Prepare a list of problems encountered during the shift and other necessary reports.
- Document work orders in the MVP system daily.
- Participate in the development and implementation of latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality.
- Participate in training to upgrade skills and knowledge to meet changing technologies, customer, government and health and safety requirements.
- Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs. This includes manufacturing, repairs and the installations of parts, components, services, and equipment.
- Advise the Manager of any potential problems and offer solutions.
- Actively participate in the preparation of safety and operation procedures.
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions.
- Assist in the training and development of new hires and apprentices.

$27.72 - $51.44
