##About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Developer to join our Data & Intelligence division. Reporting to the Director of Data Engineering, you will design and implement scalable, complex data pipelines and infrastructure to power our data products.
As a senior member of the team, you will design, build, and maintain tools and pipelines that power Alayacare's data migration service while contributing to decisions on new features. We are looking for a candidate who can combines strong technical expertise with problem-solving, documentation, as well as mentorship to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data migration processes.
##What You'll Do
- Define and collect key information regarding the intended functions of each data pipeline.
- Direct and manage requests related to the layout, appearance, and special features of data pipelines.
- Design and build large-scale frameworks and contribute to the creation of new, complex data pipelines.
- Review developments to detect and resolve coding errors, bugs, and inconsistencies.
- Lead the creation of technical documentation outlining the purpose, capacity, and guidelines for new or existing features.
- Provide practical and technical guidance on the use of data migration pipelines.
- Configure databases and data pipelines to ensure security, reliability, and resilience against data loss.
- Support and maintain existing data migration pipelines as required.
- Perform coding assignments, contribute to ticket creation, and support backlog management.
- Participate in grooming and planning epics, and design and implement detailed plans.
- Manage projects by leading epics, maintaining up-to-date tickets, scheduling follow-ups, and delivering reports to stakeholders.
- Review and analyze code for accuracy, performance, and functionality.
- Delegate tasks to team members and provide mentorship where needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
##What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3-4 years hands-on experience with data software development.
- Experience with AlayaCare's stack (Python, PHP, Vue.JS, AWS).
- Strong skills in Python and databases.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud computer provide.
- Experience with Jenkins and Groovy.
- Strong knowledge of HTML and web frameworks.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication skills to oversee and coach junior data developers.
- Excellent work management skills, time tracking and project management skills.
- Mindset encouraging transparency, accountability, and trust.
- Experience in healthcare, home health, or medical devices is an asset.
- Familiarity with data governance concepts & tools is an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English
