  • Manage and coordinate a program area, providing leadership and oversight to a team of specialists responsible for delivering services and initiatives.

  • Develop and implement evidence-based improvements to programs and services, including practical delivery options and operational standards.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement and consultations to build partnerships and support ministry priorities through collaborative program delivery.

  • Offer clear, strategic advice to senior ministry staff on policy and program development, including recommendations, risks, and approaches to address challenges.

  • Guide and oversee evaluations of policies and programs to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

Meet Your New Team
The Provider Services Branch establishes and manages fee-for-service physician and provider payment policy and payment schedules, supports physician and provider negotiations, plans and delivers specialized payment programs, and protects patients and tax payers against inappropriate billings through various accountability programs in accordance with the Commitment to the Future of Medicare Act and the Health Insurance Act.

What you bring to the team

Leadership Experience:

  • Team Leadership: You lead, coach, and support professional staff to deliver results on high-profile initiatives.
  • Project Oversight: You apply project management principles to guide the planning and execution of program goals.
  • Adaptive Leadership: You demonstrate flexibility and resilience in fast-paced, changing environments.
  • HR Knowledge: You understand key human resource practices, including talent development, succession planning, and employee relations.

Program Management and Coordination:

  • Program Development: You design, evaluate, and implement operational programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Evidence-Based Planning: You use data and benchmarks to monitor trends and plan for future service needs.
  • Operational Improvement: You identify program challenges and recommend practical policy and delivery improvements.
  • Policy Awareness: You stay current with trends in program and policy development, ensuring compliance with legislation and timelines.

Communications and Relationship Management:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: You build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strategic Communication: You use consultation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to build consensus and credibility.
  • Clear Messaging: You develop and deliver written and verbal communications that support and promote program goals.
