About the role

Agricorp is seeking an Associate Configurator for BizTalk to join the Enabling Services portfolio within Information Technology Services (ITS). In this role, you will contribute to business need requirements reviews, design, configuration/development, and implementation of new project initiatives using BizTalk services. You will also be responsible for daily support of the BizTalk platform, which serves as the primary integration layer for multiple ITS supported systems at Agricorp.

The Role

The Associate Configurator (BizTalk) will be responsible for the timely configuration/development of Biztalk components related to assigned tasks/projects or system enhancements by defining and coordinating work priorities. You will be responsible for adhering to and enhancing Agricorp’s BizTalk standards on configurations, working closely with a BizTalk Configurator. You will participate in system design and development primarily in the area of BizTalk, along with some .NET system development, as required. In this role, you will:

  • Participate in configuring operational parameters, such as roles and permissions, user attributes, and regions
  • Analyze and define business requirements
  • Conduct impact and option analysis and make recommendations for technical and business solution
  • Develop functional specifications
  • Propose solutions and estimate the effort required to complete the work
  • Develop solutions and configuration management procedures following prescribed software development life cycle methodology used by IT
  • Conduct code and configuration reviews and walkthroughs with the BizTalk Configurator and Team leader
  • Develop unit and integration test cases as part of configuration and code development and verification
  • Perform unit testing and resolve defects
  • Create and manage sample data and new data elements
  • Provide regular status and reports for work management use
  • Provide BizTalk application support, including off-hours, on-call duty on a rotational basis

Job status: 12-months contract (posting for an existing vacancy)

Work status: Full time in-office

Salary Range: $37.54/hr - $44.16/hr

Qualifications

  • University or college graduate
  • Bachelor Degree or diploma in computer science engineering or mathematics is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience programming and full system development cycle with modern technologies such as Biztalk, C#, Javascript, Java or similar , which includes a minimum of 2 years knowledge in development and implementation of BizTalk (with experience in BT Server 2016 or higher in areas of: Schemas, Maps, Pipelines, Ports, Orchestrations in VS2016 (FW4.6)
  • Experience in modern integrated development environments (IDE) such as Visual Studio
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise to perform analysis of data and develop long sustainable designs
  • Good understanding of BizTalk Hosts and Handlers
  • Knowledge of BizTalk messaging patterns, message publishing – subscription
  • Knowledge of BizTalk adapters particularly WCF-Adapters, DB2 adaptor, FILE adaptor and its configuration
  • Knowledge of publishing WCF services as BizTalk ports and consuming WCF services in BizTalk application
  • Proven experience in data synchronization and system integration using integration patterns, messaging, and data synchronization techniques, transactional and event based
  • Knowledge on related testing and monitoring strategies and mechanisms, such as knowledge of testing and performance tools i.e. soapUI, PostMan and BizTalk Management Pack
  • Working experience in production support to resolve issues in a time-bound manner
  • Familiar with Agile (or SAFE) development methodology and experience in continuous integration
