As a locally owned and growing internet service provider with an office based right in Grande Prairie, we're looking for an ambitious, hands-on Internet Installer / Fiber Technician who enjoys working outdoors, solving technical challenges, and isn't afraid of climbing to new heights. Whether you're already experience in telecommunications or have a strong mechanical aptitude and are eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
Every day is different. You'll be part of a team responsible for delivering reliable wireless and fiber internet services by: Installing and servicing customer internet equipment Climbing telecommunications towers to install and maintain wireless equipment Performing fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting Installing new fiber infrastructure and assisting with network expansions Using specialized testing equipment to ensure quality installations Working safely while following all company and industry safety standards
We're Looking For Someone Who
Enjoys working outdoors in a variety of conditions Is comfortable working at heights (up to 100 feet) Has experience in telecommunications, networking, fiber optics, or a related trade (preferred) Has fiber splicing and OTDR experience—or is willing to be trained Can troubleshoot problems independently and think critically Has a valid driver's license Takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service
