BioRender’s online software tool allows scientists to accelerate groundbreaking research across the life sciences by reducing the time it takes to visually communicate research (from hours to minutes) while drastically improving understanding and outputs. We are hiring a Billing Specialist (contract) to join our young, fast-growing company on our mission to help scientists create and share beautiful, professional scientific figures. With your solid knowledge of A/R and a customer-oriented mindset, you’ll own full cycle A/R and support the broader finance team with projects, new systems, and process improvements. You’ll play a key role in implementing sound financial processes to drive effective cash collections that will enable our ambitious growth plans.
What You'll Be Doing
- Accurately and timely produce invoices for all types of service offers, track against customer POs where applicable
- Review and post cash receipts daily and ensure accurate cash application, including handling all physical check deposits electronically
- Research and resolve billing cost issues and troubleshoot partner billing discrepancies
- Create and review A/R aging reports and ensure receivables are kept within contractual terms by following up with non-paments while escalating in a timely manner
- Liaise with various departments for any A/R related requests
- Complete all supplier questionnaires
- Month end related responsibilities including account reconciliations for A/R, unbilled receivables accruals
- Produce month end reports to ensure an accurate accounting of all invoices outstanding at month end, and balance reports with the corresponding general ledger accounts
- Identify, develop and implement more efficient and effective procedures and processes within NetSuite
What You Bring To The Table
- Minimum 2 years in an accounts receivable role
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service experience
- Experience with NetSuite & Stripe a plus
- Strong team player with a ‘’can-do’’ attitude and passion for excellence
