The Service Technician is responsible providing excellent customer service while servicing customer equipment. As a Service Technician, you’ll ensure clients keep moving by maintaining, repairing and optimizing critical equipment – all while delivering outstanding customer experience
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of equipment, including:
o Battery and pneumatic hand tools
o Strapping tools, pallet jacks, compressors
o Packaging lines, case sealers, case erectors
o Shrink systems, pallet wrappers, thermal printers

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on both our product lines and competitive equipment

Prepare, install and commission new machinery at customer sites

Document service requests, work orders, warranty claims, and parts orders accurately

Leverage electronic manuals and liaise with manufacturer’s technical support to solve complex mechanical and electrical issues

Cultivate strong relationships with customers, sales teams and management to identify growth opportunities

Follow up post service to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
-
Strong mechanical and/or electrical background. Mechatronics experience is a plus (degree, diploma, or certification).

Hands-on experience in both field service and shop environments

Basic understanding of PLC and VFD programming and troubleshooting, and eager to expand this skill set

Exceptional communication and customer-service skills
-
Seft-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up

Willingness to learn new systems, embrace training opportunities, and grow within the company

Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Strong computer literacy and ability to handle confidential, time-sensitive information

Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record, and willingness to travel (some overtime may be required)
