About the role: We're hiring a Senior Art Director to join our hybrid onsite team in Toronto working with a large financial client! As a Senior Art Director, you will bring your conceptual creative skills to an in-house agency that is looking to create exceptional D2C and B2B experiences for the client and consumers.

What you will be doing:

  • Work as a leader on a creative and design team that’s producing a variety of materials for digital, social and print executions
  • Direct, review and execute brand initiatives producing beautiful and innovative static and video assets for paid media, .com, mobile & app, banners, social and other assets
  • Responsible for the full creative lifecycle from concept to execution
  • Pitch creative solutions in response to marketing strategies to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of all finished files that will comply with the correct output specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends (especially AI) and incorporate fresh ideas into our creative projects
  • Ability to articulate and pitch conceptual and directional choices to clients
  • Review and ensure all applicable creative aligns with brand’s guidelines and goals – providing consistency and quality in all outputs

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 6-10 years of work experience that demonstrates impeccable craft and command of creative concepts, visual concepts, art direction and design across a variety of projects with an emphasis on digital but working knowledge of print
  • Degree or equivalent in related field
  • Advertising agency experience
  • The ability to take projects from concept to completion with a history of translating strategic thinking into compelling and creative ideas
  • Understand how to work on a range of designs within brand guidelines
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, including (at minimum) Illustrator, InDesign, interactive PDF and Photoshop
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft PPT (video/motion experience is a plus)
  • Deep knowledge & production experience with integrated and digital campaigns
  • Persuasive communication and presentation skills with colleagues and clients
  • A desire to mentor younger art directors, designers, and other creatives
  • Proven success working in small and large, collaborative multi-functional teams across time zones and technologies
  • Experience in the world of creative finance is an asset
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $97,750.00 CAD to $109,250.00 CAD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
