About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and will be responsible for processing transactions accurately while ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases.
- Process transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical sales support when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and merchandise displays.
- Assist with merchandising tasks to ensure products are well presented and stocked.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and improve overall customer experience.
Qualifications
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must have "Serving it Right" certificate
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with technology sales, including product demos and technical sales, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone.
