Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance Planning, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will apply maintenance best practices in terms of preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as the liaison role between the Planning and the Execution teams. You will develop the mobile maintenance short range plan, including non-routine maintenance outages/shutdowns, for the weekly to midterm windows. In this role you will also ensure parts availability; labour, procedures, and supporting resources are identified and available before work is ready to schedule. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
Work Order Planning
Review the breakdown and found work backlog and all work requests with the Execution Team; Plan the corrective work according to the agreed priority and urgency; Determine, requisition, and acquire all trades, parts, services, and support equipment required for approved planned work using the CMMS, and ensure their availability prior to the work being scheduled; Track planned parts through the procurement and logistics processes; Be aware of delivery problems and the resulting effects on the 12-week plan and 4-week schedule; Stay appraised of asset health and backlog, provide recommendations to benchmark revisions, and maintain equipment and component histories.
Weekly Scheduling and Compliance Analysis
Develop and present the weekly maintenance schedule to key area stakeholders; Review the previous schedule for incomplete work and future planning improvements; Provide consultation and advice for challenges to the current schedule week.
Maintenance Strategy Development
Create and revise model work orders and bills of materials to support budgeting planned component replacements; Amend job plans to improve quality of work and consistency of delivered results; Review and provide recommendations for stocked items, rebuildable components, and critical spares; Submit stocking requests for planned BOMs and support CMMS traceability for direct-charge items.
Stakeholder Communication and Process Improvement
Conduct workshop/field visits for planned maintenance and project shutdowns; Support the execution team and update work order models to reflect realistic timelines and requirements; Communicate all changes to the plan and schedule to all stakeholders consistently and accurately.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Agnico Eagle’s Health & Safety Code of Conduct; Promote safe work practices and environmental standards.
What You Need To Succeed
Technical or university education in a relevant field (administration, finance, project management, engineering); A minimum of 3 years in maintenance, preferably with team leader experience; Mechanical maintenance with CMMS, project management, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives; Has an interest in heavy industry (e.g., equipment used in the mining field); Demonstrates a pronounced mechanical aptitude; Possesses the ability to influence, organize teams and information, and able to navigate ambiguous financial situations; Strong analytical skills and attention to details, with the ability to interpret data and trends for continuous improvement initiatives; Experience in project management, mining experience, and planning. Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
