About the role
Key Position Functions Include
- Ensure compliance of product through dimensional, visual and other inspection methods
- Ensure proper documentation is supplied or created as required
- Conduct dimensional inspection on products
- Ensure that proper traceability is maintained on all products
- Complete all reporting and documentation as required
- Perform hardness testing as required
- Review and approve Material Test Reports, Inspection reports, etc.
- Advise Engineering/Production of any missing requirements or issues with Work Order notes (missing specifications, inaccurate descriptions, etc.)
- Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor
- Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards/procedures
Qualifications And Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Mechanical aptitude an asset
- Machine Shop Inspection training / experience required (minimum 5 years) – dimensional inspection, hardness testing, understanding of technical drawings
- Knowledge of API 6A and 6D preferred
- Understanding of basic trigonometry
- Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset
- Forklift and crane operation an asset
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize and possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with coordinate measurement machines (portable – FARO or Hexagon or 3D scanning) preferred
- Experience with Polyworks Inspector Verisurf and or Mastercam for coordinate measurement machines preferred
- Experience handling and processing non-conforming product an asset
- Ability to maintain deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
