Role Description We’re seeking a detail-driven Payroll Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about precision and compliance. You’ll take ownership of full‑cycle payroll processing in Workday, ensuring timely, accurate pay for 3,000 Canadian associates. Ideal candidates are independent self‑starters who can juggle multiple priorities, resolve discrepancies swiftly, and deliver exceptional support to employees. What You Will Do
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing in Workday for 3,000 Canadian associates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and legislation.
- Prepare remittances for third-party deductions, taxes, and employer payroll taxes.
- Process and verify Records of Employment for terminated employees.
- Assist with government filings (CRA, Statistics Canada, Service Canada, Revenue Quebec).
- Handle year-end tax forms (T4s, T4As, Relevé 1s) and adjustments.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, supporting reconciliation and operations.
- Ensure SOX compliance by completing audits and required documentation.
- Develop and maintain internal payroll documentation and SOPs.
- Independently manage multiple priorities and projects across business lines.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries promptly.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is required
- A minimum of 3 years full-cycle payroll processing experience in multiple provinces for hourly and salaried employees.
- Proficient with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Retail and/or Warehouse payroll and timekeeping experience.
- Must be able to work independently during critical times.
- Bilingual (French/English) a plus.

Base salary range: $70,000 - $85,000 + 10% MIP
Total posting range is $74,000 - $93,500 (inclusive of salary + MIP)
Please note: The total compensation range posted for this role represents the total compensation opportunity, which may include base wage, bonuses, commissions, and/or other monetary components, if applicable. Placement in the range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, candidate experience, skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
