Objective:
Ensure compliance with the mass properties and balance of trains. Support the mechanical architecture of new developments by optimizing configurations to meet performance and safety requirements related to weight.
Main Responsibilities:

Lead on-site weight management activities (project reviews, interactions with clients and authorities).

Develop train-level weight forecasts.

Define and allocate mass allocations to subsystems.

Evaluate discrepancies between projected solutions and references, and their impact on mass.

Contribute to supplier selection when mass is critical.

Collaborate with design teams to achieve mass objectives.
-
Update the weight control structure for all configurations.
-
Validate compliance with mass and balance requirements through physical measurements.

Generate required reports and ensure the update of weight databases.
Required Skills:
Education:
-
University or technical college degree (mandatory).
-
Engineering degree (desired).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mass and balance control, ideally in the railway, automotive, aerospace, or maritime sectors.
Technical and Behavioral Skills:

Proficiency in mathematics and static mechanics.
-
Competence with digital systems and databases.
-
Good understanding of design, manufacturing, and testing processes.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-
Bilangual French and English (written and oral).
