About the role

Business Analyst Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 2 days per week in office (Tuesday and Thursday anchor days), with expectation to move to 4 days in the future

Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months (extension possible; conversion to permanent possible) Pay Rate: C$37.00–C$45.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours — 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (must be available for either shift; majority of working hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Overtime as needed. Travel Requirements: Not required


Job Summary We are looking for an analyst to join our middle office operations team within TD Securities. You identify and execute innovative improvement opportunities; inspire the adoption of new technologies, models and methodologies to enhance productivity, operational effectiveness of the business, and the customer experience, while supporting an effective control environment. You ensure the quality of own work and understand its end-to-end impact on the activities of the business and most importantly the customer. You adhere to strict deadlines, while handling high volumes of work in a demanding environment. Proven ability to complete stated projects within hard deadlines while maintaining a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, knowledge of the business, quality, innovation and teamwork.

With offices located around the world, the strength of TD Securities Global Operations and Business Services lies in the diverse and dynamic group of individuals who provide critical infrastructure services that support and/or control the trading, investment and corporate banking functions of TD Securities. The Institutional Equities Operations team is part of Global Operations and Business Services and partners with multiple Sales & Trading teams and other areas within TD Securities globally to mitigate risk for the Dealer and our clients. We are a global team heavily involved in strategic initiatives and projects, business development and process improvements to optimize efficiency, enhance client service levels and reduce risk.


Key Responsibilities Provide middle office trade support across allocation, reconciliation, and inventory balancing functions Ensure accurate trade capture, matching, and settlement readiness for equities and derivatives flows Act as key control point between Front Office, clients, custodians, and clearing/depository platforms (CDS/DTC) Focus on break resolution, risk mitigation (fails/capital), and regulatory timelines (T 1 lifecycle) Perform block and step-out allocations across client and internal accounts Monitor and resolve exceptions in CTM / matching platforms Validate trade economics vs OMS / street records Manage DKs, unmatched and unaffirmed trades Ensure T 1 allocation / affirmation compliance


Required Skills Middle office experience — 3 years Capital markets (equities) experience — 3 years Books and records system experience (similar ISM – IBM), including platforms such as SOPHIS, FIDESSA, CTM, CDS, DTC Excel — use and maintain VBA — 3 years


Preferred Skills CSI courses with specific tieback to Equities


Education Requirements University or college degree in STEM (nice to have) CSI courses with specific tieback to Equities (nice to have)


Required Experience 2–4 years of overall experience Minimum 3 years of middle office experience Minimum 3 years of capital markets (equities) experience

Nice-to-Have Experience Middle office background within equities (capital market space) 1 year of CSI document development experience


Work Environment / Physical Requirements Approximately 1 hour of daily meetings Interaction with both internal and external stakeholders Contractor will have access to customer data Training period: 1–3 weeks


Important Notes Interview process: 2 rounds — virtual, with potential for a second round in person
