WAGE RANGE: $41.68 TO $53.28 PER HOUR
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Reporting to the Regional Manager of Clinical Nutrition Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the nutritional care and education of inpatients and outpatients. With a patient centered focus, the Dietitian will complete nutrition assessments, establish goals of care and implement and monitor nutrition care plans. The position includes teaching and supervision of dietetic interns and staff education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Baccalaureate degree in Applied Human Nutrition or Baccalaureate of Science or equivalent from an accredited university, and completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship Program
o Current Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario required
o Membership with the Dietitians of Canada is an asset
o 2 years of recent experience in the past 3 years in an acute care setting required
o Experience providing nutrition care for hemodialysis patients required
o 2 years of recent experience providing nutrition care for ICU patients required
o Demonstrated knowledge and skill in comprehensive nutrition assessments, including implementing and monitoring nutrition care plans
o Extensive working knowledge of prescribing and monitoring Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition in the past 2 years required
o Participation in continuing education programs/courses to enhance related professional knowledge is required
o Excellent organizational, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills
o Self-directed; flexible; and able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a multidisciplinary team setting
o Supportive of departmental goals and objectives, demonstrating initiative to promote total quality improvement
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficient in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
