Key Responsibilities:
Glazing (80%):
- Process work orders as per the sequence number.
- Check glass quality prior to glazing.
- Focus on putting glass on the product.
- Scan paperless station and install on glass.
- Focus on attention to detail to ensure precise glazing on the glass.
- Work with a glazing partner on your daily run of work.
- Follow company glazing standards.
- Measure glass replacement.
- Report any deficiencies to your cell leader so that these issues can be resolved.
Health & Safety(20%):
- Follow on site safe work practices – Fall Protection training, First Aid, WHMIS.
- Follow health and safety regulations by wearing required equipment and protection.
- Identify and demonstrate use of personal protective equipment.
- Follow all injury prevention policies and procedures.
- Report all activities and hazards that may create an unsafe work environment.
Competencies – you’re good at:
- Able to read and interpret specification sheets.
- Mechanically inclined with mechanical aptitudes and enjoy working with your hands.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Troubleshooting abilities to analyze problem and provide solutions.
- Communication effectively in English both verbal and written.
- High comfort level working in a fast-paced team environment that is constantly changing.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Pressure to produce tangible results and complete projects within tight timelines.
- Ability to prioritize your daily work and organize yourself to meet multiple deadlines and meet customer needs.
Working conditions:
- Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0llbs to 100llbs.
- Work in a production facility.
- Repetitive movements and work.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping on a regular basis.
- Walking near to heavy tool and moving machinery.
- Exposure to all types of weather conditions, and dirt, dust and noise.
- Flexibility in scheduling depending on production demands – able to work day &/or evening shift.
- Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
