About the role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager, TD Place is responsible for developing and implementing the content, media, social media and communications functions for major events, concerts and other activities taking place on site including TD Place, Lansdowne, and Ottawa Christmas Market. This role will use data and analytics to create and leverage communication and multi-platform content to increase the ticket sales and help to generate repeat visitation.
This full-time, permanent role has an annual salary range of $62,200 to $76,200, with 100% employer-paid benefits. The final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. This is a replacement position and offers flexibility to work either fully on-site or in a hybrid arrangement.
What you’ll do:
- Lead multi-platform marketing campaigns and collateral to drive awareness, engagement, and demand for TD Place, Lansdowne, and Ottawa Christmas Market.
- Oversee marketing and communications strategy for events across all properties.
- Capture on-site content at events, coordinating photographers and videographers for live coverage and future promotions.
- Manage media attendance, press passes, and event-day press and media relations.
- Drive fan/guest outreach with communities and internal teams to support ticket sales and engagement.
- Lead social media strategy across traditional and emerging platforms; maintain content calendars.
- Manage digital and physical marketing assets to promote events, teams, and tenant properties.
- Serve as marketing contact for incoming promoters and collaborate with Digital Marketing to support internal stakeholders (TD Place, OSEG Foundation, Lansdowne, recruitment).
- Partner with HR on marketing campaigns and recruitment initiatives.
- Generate creative ideas for photo, video, storytelling, and earned media strategies.
- Monitor and report social media KPIs with actionable insights.
- Act as liaison to agencies, local associations, retailers, promoters, and media.
- Stay informed on marketing trends and integrate opportunities into brand plans.
- Design, write, and edit copy for social media, emails, websites, and print materials.
- Other duties assigned by Manager.
What’s needed:
- Completion of post-secondary education in marketing, communications or related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience within a fast-paced event, entertainment, or live production environment.
- Experience building and executing entertainment marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite Practical experience with video production, graphics, and photography required.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills, including attention to detail, and a strong handle on grammar, punctuation, and voice.
- Must be able to multi-task between concurrent assignments, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
- Understanding of analytics software, content management systems, and SEO tools.
- Experience building budgets and managing expenses.
- Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
