Position Summary...
We’re looking for a strategic and execution-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the development of technology solutions that power Walmart Canada’s Merchant Operations. This role supports multiple domains, enabling merchants to work more efficiently, make smarter decisions, and deliver better outcomes for customers.
You’ll define product strategy, drive delivery, and partner across engineering, UX, analytics, and business teams to build tools that simplify workflows, improve data quality, and enhance operational performance.
This role is ideal for someone with strong product management experience (3+ years), a passion for solving operational challenges, and a track record of delivering impactful enterprise tools.
What you'll do...
Shape Product Strategy
- Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for Merchant Operations platforms, aligning with enterprise goals.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve merchant productivity.
Drive Execution
- Translate strategy into actionable initiatives — define epics, write user stories, and manage a prioritized backlog.
- Collaborate with engineering and UX to deliver intuitive, scalable, and high-performing tools.
Optimize Merchant Experience
- Understand merchant pain points through research, feedback, and data analysis.
- Continuously improve tools that support item onboarding, pricing setup, space allocation, and content enrichment.
Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with merchant teams, analytics, compliance, and operations to ensure tools meet evolving business needs.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to drive adoption and change management.
Measure and Improve
- Define and track KPIs such as setup velocity, pricing accuracy, space utilization, and tool engagement.
- Use experimentation, feedback loops, and analytics to iterate and improve product performance.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of product management experience in retail, eCommerce, or enterprise tooling.
- Experience managing operational platforms or tools supporting merchant workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Familiarity with item lifecycle platforms, pricing systems, or space planning tools.
- Experience in agile development and working with cross-functional delivery teams.
- Understanding of omni-channel retail operations and merchant behavior.
