About the role
Body Harmonics Pilates is a leader in Pilates and movement education; known for our rewound approach to science-based Pilates methodology. Our educators are passionate professionals who bring depth, clarity, and excellence to every student interaction.
We are currently seeking a Pilates Educator to join our Education Faculty. This role combines hands-on instruction, mentorship, and academic responsibilities within our teacher training programs and continuing education courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Body Harmonics Pilates Certification Programs; this includes modules, discussion groups, case studies, and conducting examinations
- Teach Private Education Tutorials one-on-one or in duets
- Teach Pilates Continuing Education Courses (when applicable)
- Teach one-on-ones and Group Pilates Classes at our Pilates Studio(s) weekly (minimum of 20 hours of regular teaching required) -Design tailored sessions based on clients functional and anatomy needs and class plans according to Studio requirements -Develop and refine curriculum content in alignment with the Body Harmonics methodology and pedagogical standards.
- Evaluate tests, assignments, and practical exams to measure student progress
- Mentor and advise students on education options and specialize (e.g., Rehabilitation, Active Aging), and professional development opportunities within the movement and wellness industries.
- Provide assistance to students who have questions or need assistance
- Supervise preparation labs, practicum placements, and hands-on studio training, ensuring consistent application of Body Harmonics principles.
- Review teaching notes to stay up to date with Program curriculum updates
- Meet with Education Advisors regularly to track student success and to share examination results
- Actively attend and participate in education faculty meetings, and internal reviews concerning course updates, delivery methods, and program requirements.
- Attend professional development meetings with Education director Uphold and embody Body Harmonics’ core values of inclusivity, education, and science-based movement.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma
- Comprehensive Pilates Certification (Mat, Reformer and CCSB) from Body Harmonics or thought our Bridge Program
- Minimum of 7 years of experience teaching Pilates at a recognized Pilates studio (preferably at a Body Harmonics Studio or Affiliated Partner)
- Must have a science-based Pilates methodology approach and a strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, postural analysis, and functional movement.
- Skilled in developing instructional materials and evaluating student performance.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to speak and write in fluent English
